Sales have been picking up, which is a good thing, but also hard to do after a long day of work, and taking care of my 3 year old. In September I was so happy to get my Top Rated Seller Status back and am enjoying the discount. The discount is what gets me off the couch and out to ship orders after little one is asleep.
I've had a few big sales, including some items I talked about in my listing goals here
Mid Century Modern Swag Lamp
barn sale
paid 11.00
sold on Etsy 250.00
Vintage Large Japanese Bird Vase
goodwill
paid 4.99
listed at 150.00
sold for 100.00 (bo)
shipped to buyer in Australia, love those international sales!
Hint: use a black background for items you want to appear to have high value, works wonders!
I have a few other big items I need to get listed also including a MCM side table/dresser. The only thing I don't like about the big items is finding the right box to ship them in!
I've also been a good girl and kept to my promise of not shopping so much until I get more stuff listed. I've only been shopping 2 times since school started and spent about 1/3 of what I usually do. I've been listing when I can and feel like it. I wish I had more feel good days that I could take more photos, as I usually run out of photos to list items with before I feel good enough to take photos again. I'm hoping things continue to get better so I can take about 500 photos so when the baby gets here I can at least list while I'm stuck in the house.
In baby news. . .
We had our first doctor's appointment and ultra sound in September and things are looking good. We didn't find out the sex last time, but have decided to this time. Hubby says he wants me to have time to sell little one's clothes etc, if it's a girl this time. We also found out that we will be having it around March 20th. I never went into labor last time (2 weeks past my due date) so the doctor wants us to just have a scheduled c-section this time- which is totally fine with me.
So I figure for the few weeks I'm house ridden I can still list, even though I will have my store on vacation. I went from 550 in listed in inventory this summer to 488 currently, so I need to get listing now.
I will try to check in more frequently.
Happy Sales to you. . .
