It must be winter somewhere

I've been hitting up a lot of great end of season sales and purchased some winter items at some really good prices. Since I am in the middle of getting my shop cleaned and organized, I decided to just take the photos and list them while I still know where everything is. I figured if they don't sell by next year I will use them for students at my school. This year on the Christmas Angel tree there were a lot of kids (about 60 names) who didn't even ask for toys, but for warm winter clothes, boots and socks. Doesn't that make you sad? I couldn't afford to do very many this year, but I am planning ahead for next year and picking things up on sale for next year. I'll just choose the names that match the sizes I already have.

Last week  I listed 4 different colors of snowpants. The very next day one pair sold, to someone in Alaska.

purchased for 4.50, sold for $14.95

Yesterday I listed about 30 different designs of these tights. paid $2.50, sold 3 pairs for 8.00 each.

I guess the moral is, list it while you've got it, no matter what the season, someone is looking for it somewhere. I'm glad to know that, as when I take the photos ahead of time I always forget to get them listed until like a week before the season is done. I'm just going to start listing everything in my pile, no matter what the time of year or season it is.

Moving forward

spent the day working on the ebay room and taking advantage of the last free listing day. There are walls, insulation to be done this week, sheetrock should be put in next weekend. Possibly moving into it in 2-3 weeks. Yipee!
outside wall where I will drive my car up and unload
probably putting a large sorting table here.

back wall, possibly where my clothes will hang?

front wall where photo taking area will be. We will be getting rid of the pellet stove- wasn't working so well for little one and me with our asthma. I got an amish plug in fireplace from little one and hubby for my birthday that will heat in here. It wil be a while before I need it!

I can't wait until I can move into my new room and get all of my ebay stuff organized and easier to find and list/ship from home.

I didn't get to go thrifting or saling today, with hubby out in my shop I didn't want him to see me bringing in more new stuff to the chaos. :)

so, please share with me what you found today, let me live vicariously through you!

Workin', Workin' Workin.
It's that crazy time of year that all teachers dread. The end of the school year is as crazy as the start and doesn't leave very much time for blogging, ebaying, or sleep. Lack of sleep usually means getting sick for me, especially since I spend my day around all the little germ carriers, (other people's and my own:)
In the last two weeks I have had a UTI and bronchitus.I am sitting in bed right now at 5:00 in the afternoon, with my bad heater on trying to rest and get some work done. I hate being sick when it's hot outside.

We also took little one to the ENT this week to see about tubes for his ears. We got some new meds and one more chance before we had to do tubes, I'm praying that this medicine stops the monthly double ear infections, and that we don't have to do the tubes. I just want him to be pain free and feeling good.

I have been working out in my shop and we are making progress. Drywall has been hired out for next week and I should be able to move into my room in about 3-4 weeks, just in time for school to be out, YEAH! I can hardly wait to get things organized so I can work much more efficently.

Tomorrow is our class trip to the zoo. Then my plan is to list like crazy on Saturday and try to get some things put away in the shop. I have to move somethings around so the drywall guys can get in and so once the walls are up I can still get to the other side of the shop. Hopefully the weather will be nice but not hot and the daily wind will hold off until I can get some photos taken. I can hardly wait until I have my photo spaces set up in the new shop and I won't have to wait on the weather or hubby to be gone to take photos.

I'm hoping I can get some photos of things I have purchased in the last few weeks. I tried some new thrift stores like I talked about in this post and found one that sells clothes and knick knacks for only .99!
Love that!

I will be checking in again soon.

progress

I came home to find this surprise for my birthday. Walls for my ebay room!

My family really showed their support for me on my birthday. I got a plug in fireplace for my ebay room from hubby and little one, totes and bankers boxes and a packing peanut dispenser from my mom and dad.  I also won a gift card to Walmart at work. My birthday was a great one and I am feeling much better than the last time I posted. Stess can do that to you.
Hubby is planning on working some more on the room this weekend and I have lots of treasures that I've found in the last few weeks that I will try to share with you this weekend.

No partime job for me tomorrow, I have to be at school all day for inservice, no yardsales for me tomorrow. :(

Talk at you soon.

Hello again

I'm kinda feeling down today for some reason, I can't quite put my finger on it, probably jut a combination of things going on lately. Right now I am staying up late, getting some work done and orders filled, watching reruns of kitchen nightmares.
It's been a very long week already. Found out last Friday that we can't avoid it anymore and little is going to meet with the ENT on Monday, probably to get tubes in his ears. We just can't shake the ear infections. I know that it will probably make him feel better, but I just didn't want it to have to come to this.

We had kindergarten round up tonight at my "day job."  Not very many people were there which makes me start to worry again about next year and the possibility of having to be half time again, which has both an upside and a downside. I can't seem to make up my mind how I feel about it either way. There were a few other things that happened that always seem to make me doubt myself, Let's just say  I need to stop worrying so much about what other people think of me. Do you ever have that problem?

Got home and out of the blue had a huge fight with hubby, not really even sure about what?  I also hate nights when I have to stay at work late because little one was already asleep when I got home and I haven't seen him since this morning, sometimes I wonder what's the point of being half time?

I think it's just going to be one of those days, and I should turn in and put an end to this day.

Finally a few good notes, tomorrow is my birthday. Let's just say it's a number between 30 and 40.

Also,  I have been using weightwatchers online to try to lose some baby weight. I am 5 foot tall and gained 80 (yikes!) pounds when I was pregnant. (Wouldn't recommend it) I have been working on losing it since little one was born. I lost 40 right away, 20- 2 years ago, then got stressed out and put that back on. Stopped drinking soda and starbucks and dropped 15 last summer, now I am about 8 pounds away from prebaby weight, still a little more than my doctor (me too!) would like me to weigh, but I'd be happy to be back to pre baby at least and then go from there. I've lost almost 2 pants sizes and hope that last 8-10 pounds will be another one. Then I can thrift for a few cuter clothes in smaller sizes for the summer.

Spending my birthday at school, afternoon job, then back to school for our usual 3 hour staff meeting- no time for anything fun and birthday related tomorrow. Plans to celebrate with my family this weekend.

Have a great day tomorrow for me!

Thank you!!!!

Thank you, living rich on the cheap for giving me my first award. It made my day!
I love her blog, so be sure to stop by and check it out.

The Liebster Blog Award is a way to get traffic to blogs that aren't widely known.
The rules for the award:
Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them.
List your top five picks (who have less than 200 followers) and link to them, telling a bit about each one.  Leave a comment on their blogs to let them know you've nominated them.
Copy and paste the award on your blog (you can find the award on my blog to copy)
Have faith that your followers will do the same to other bloggers.

What a great idea! and I'd love to share my favorite blogs.

The resale thrifter: I love to read this blog to get new ideas about what to sell.

the monkey box: a fellow junk lover who doesn't want anything to go to waste, love that!

DimeStoreThrift: tons of crafting inspiration, thrift store discoveries, and organizational tips.

the clueless thrifter: I think the name says it all, I've been there too and I love to read about all the hills and valleys along the way

Icansellthis: Maggie can sell anything, or at least she's going to try! maybe it's because she's a teacher too, or because she has a little one, but probably I totally get her

Well, there's my five, hopefully I did this right. It's my first award and I'm very excited!

I will be posting again soon, I have kindergarten round up tomorrow (so I can have nightmares about the children I will get next year. . . all summer :) and this time of year requires a lot of extra time at school, even if you are only part time.

Amazon sales are keeping me very busy and excited. I will post more soon.

Loaded up

How's this for proof of a great day of shopping to resell?

Toys for amazon from target
ralph lauren polo shirts from goodwill
spring and summer type dresses, all 1/2 of color of the week- GW
also, boxes of stuff I already have listed and am moving from my dad's office to my shed. Yeah!

Also, I really need to clean out my car, even after I get all of the reselling items out.

Do you hear that wind? I need one afternoon of at least partially nice weather and no wind!

Happy shopping!

get Easter Baskets for family put together
hopefully pack some more orders :)
finish (or hopefully already finished) tax papers!

Sunday
Praise that Jesus died for my sins and arose from the grave, just as he promised !!!

sunrise service at o' dark thirty

back to hide and find Easter Eggs

Wishing you an Easter Sunday filled with praise, grace, love and family

What are you going to do with the rest of your day?
